I am an aviator and seasoned non-profit executive with expertise in government relations, aviation policy, regulatory affairs and air traffic management.

In December of 2021, I retired from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association after more than 30 years with the association.  During my career, I worked in Government and Regulatory Affairs - advocating for general aviation interests at the federal, state, and local levels of government on matters affecting airmen, aircraft, and air traffic control. 

I also represented AOPA’s international policy interests at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and other international regulatory bodies. 

I hold a commercial pilot certificate with a lighter-than-air rating.  Having flown for more than 37 years, I also have FAA Academy training in Airspace Design and Analysis, Air Traffic Management, Terminal Procedures Development, FAA Regulatory Standards and Environmental Policy.

My background and experience can be put to work in advancing your goals and objectives.  The aviation industry is fast-paced and always evolving - my goal is to provide consulting services that propel your company forward.

 Additionally, during my tenure with AOPA, I served as Treasurer on RTCA’s Board of Directors, and served as co-chair of the FAA NextGen Advisory Committee Subcommittee.  I was also a member of dozens of rulemaking advisory committees over the years -  including the Unmanned Aerial Systems Rulemaking Committee, the Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee, the DOD Airspace and Ranges Committees and the Aeronautical Charting Forum.  I am currently an appointee of the National Park Overflight Advisory Group.
